Monitor is part of the Refinitiv Workspace, which contains numerous data on selected financial instruments. It can be found in the left part of the home screen.
Adding new Monitors works similarly to opening new tabs on web pages. A new monitor can be added by clicking on " + " next to already existing monitors. This opens a new (empty) monitor, similar to how tabs on web pages behave.
When we have a new Monitor open, we can start adding the data we are interested in. A new instrument is added to the Monitor by double-clicking on an empty line and entering the name, ticker or other identifier of the desired instrument.
For indexes, click on the arrow to the left of the name " ▼ " the instruments that make up this index are listed, along with the individual data for the displayed columns.
With a click on " + " we can add new columns to the table in which we can add the desired information about the instruments.
To quickly add a new column, enter the desired string, or you can also use the marked button to select all the options offered by the financial database, sorted by category.
With the help of the toolbar, the Monitor can be customized with other options that the database offers. Among other things, you can save it as a template, import your own saved template or use one of the many pre-made templates.
