Capital IQ (ENG)

Data regarding an individual industry can be accessed:

• from the "Tearsheet" of an individual company — by clicking on the industry in the Primary Industry Classification section (the database will by default display data for this company's industry, in this case Consumer Staples Merchandise Retail),

• through the Markets tab and then choosing the desired industry.

Upon selection, we land on the "Tearsheet" page for a specific industry, which presents some key data. In order to display data in some of the sections, we also need to select region on the top-right part of the page (Refine Geography). This opens a new window in which we check the desired countries or regions and then click Submit.

Within the section on the left side (as with companies), we can view detailed data for the industry categorized. For instance, financial indicators can be found under Key Stats & Ratios, and other data is also available. To export the obtained table, click on the outlined Excel symbol.
