Example: we would like to construct a portfolio of German insurance companies with a Fitch rating.
On the FitchConnect homepage we select Fundamental Data & Analytics -> Data Tools -> Portfolio.

Choose Create portfolio.

Individual companies can be added to the portfolio by typing their names in the Enter text box, but in this example we are looking for quite a few companies. Therefore we choose Select Data Items -> Insurance -> Select All.

We move to the Geography tab, where under Countries / Regions A-Z we find and tick Germany.

To select just the ones rated by Fitch, choose the Credit tab. Select Fitch Ratings -> Rated/Unrated and mark Rated. Do not forget to click on Add Criteria.

We could also be more specific and choose a certain category of ratings, for example Long-Term Issuer Default Rating and then on the right side tick only the ratings we want from the companies.

In the table below the list of relevant companies is constantly updated in regards to the applied filters. To finish creating a portfolio, we need to tick on the right side either all or some of the companies from the table. Then we select the option Create Portfolio (if the number of selected companies is not over 500). For 500+ elements we need to use the Export to Excel option and cannot create the portfolio in browser.
