To access the news with their sentiment we choose the News tool.
We select a portfolio for which we want to check the news (in this case the previously constructed portfolio of Slovenia and its bordering countries).
To only display the news relating to one country from the portfolio, click on that country. We can select a headline and when it appears on the right side, we can click on it and get transferred to the source webpage.
Next to certain news, there is sentiment displayed from the credit risk perspective. The first, red horizontal line represents its negative sentiment, and the second, green one shows its positive sentiment.
As it could also be observed from the one before previous screen capture, the sentiment for our entities through time is also displayed — in selected time frame the news were quite negative.
We can also choose to show only positive or negative news for the entities from our portfolio or focus on financial, legal or operational news only.
The outlined bar below is used to sort the elements of the portfolio by positive or negative sentiment and for various date ranges:
