While viewing individual company information, the Peer Comps option is available on the left under Profile. When selected, Capital IQ will automatically determine 10 of its closest competitors and display a table for all 11 companies with specific financials and statistics.
Clicking on the name of an individual company in the table will open its Tearsheet (page with basic data) in a new tab. With the button marked below, we can add new companies to the table.
A new section opens for us to add companies.
To delete companies from the list, check them to the left of the names and then select Delete Selected.
By clicking on the tabs below, program displays different data for comparison with other companies.
You can also customize these tabs or create a new one by clicking " + ".
The table is exported to Excel using the familiar Export button. A new window will open informing us that the file is ready for download.
An Excel file with all the tabs by individual sheets will be downloaded.
We can also save the table — by clicking on the marked Save button, a window opens that we can use to save it.
One way to access saved comparisons is through Saved Items -> Lists, Portfolios & Screens, where we'll find a list of them.
