1. What is an Interlibrary Loan (IL)?
Interlibrary loans are a service giving library members access to materials not available in the home collection.
2. How can I order material?
You can order material in three ways:
- in the COBISS/OPAC catalogue, click on the "Interlibrary Loan Request" app to connect you with the My Library service; after registration, your personal information and information concerning the requested material are automatically transferred;
- by e-mail to:
knjige.cek@ef.uni-lj.si;
- if a book or article is not located in Slovenia,
a special form for ordering materials from abroad is to be completed.
3. What are the delivery times?
Delivery times vary and depend on the supplying library. Experience shows we receive books from Slovenian libraries in 2 days and from abroad within 7 to 15 days. Electronic articles are expected to arrive within 2 days.
4. What are the borrowing costs??
Borrowing costs are €8.25 for a book/unit located within Slovenia, for an article sent electronically €4.40; for a book/unit from abroad €20.
6. Can I extend the loan period for a book I have borrowed via IL?
The possibility of extending such a deadline is determined by the supplying library. If the book is not reserved, it is usually possible to borrow for a maximum of two standard loan periods.
